COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Lynn Norris, 78, of 214 Liberty, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday (June 30, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient a week. Born Dec. 7, 1893, at Fountain, he was the son of Jacob and Lisaben Nebeker. On Feb. 27, 1918, he married Madge Gilbert, who survives. A life resident of Fountain County, he was a farmer in his early life. He later operated a milk truck route for 21 years and was chief of police at Covington for four years. Mr. Norris was a member and past master of Fountain Masonic Lodge 60 F & AM, member and past worthy patron of the Order of Eastern Star and a 50-year member of the Knights of Pythias, all of Covington, and Wallace Low 12 Club. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George Bala of Midland, Mich.; a son, Robert J. of Danville; two sisters, Miss Nell Fox of Covington and Mrs. Gilbert Fox of Danville; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in Bend Cemetery north of Covington. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.   – jlr
